This interactive teen workshop helps participants learn how to respond with empathy, recognize when it's time to involve a trusted adult, and balance trust with safety.

Deerfield Beach Ignite - "Burnout and Balance: Recognizing and Preventing Overwhelm"
A practical, engaging workshop that helps middle and high school students recognize the early signs of burnout and overwhelm. Students will learn simple, real-life strategies to manage stress, set healthy boundaries, and create better balance between school, activities, and personal life. The focus is on building awareness, improving coping skills, and preventing exhaustion before it starts—so students can feel more in control, focused, and supported in their daily lives. FIRST Robotics Competition World Championship (2026)
At the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition World Championship, Minds Over Matter partnered with the Dirty Mechanics Robotics Team to support student well-being by providing stress-relief resources for the event's Quiet Room. We donated puzzles, fidget toys, and other calming activities to create a welcoming space where students, mentors, volunteers, and attendees could take a break, recharge, and practice self-care during the fast-paced competition.
Bake Sale
Our Bake Sale Fundraiser brought together students and community members to support a meaningful cause while enjoying homemade treats. Every purchase helped raise funds to expand and strengthen Minds Over Matter's mental health clubs, allowing us to provide free educational materials, interactive activities, guest speakers, and resources that empower students to prioritize mental wellness.
Florida Atlantic WAVE Poster Showcase
Minds Over Matter was proud to present at Florida Atlantic University's WAVE Poster Showcase, where we shared our organization's mission, programs, and community impact through a research-style poster presentation. Throughout the event, we connected with faculty, students, and community members while highlighting our efforts to expand youth mental health education, advocacy, and peer support.
We were honored to receive the First Place Community Service Organization Award, recognizing our commitment to creating meaningful change and empowering young people to become mental health advocates in their schools and communities. This achievement reflects the dedication of our team and inspires us to continue growing our impact across South Florida and beyond.
Toy Drive for Happy Play Therapy
Join us for a Toy Drive in collaboration with Palm Beach Outreach, supporting Happy Play Therapy, a female veteran-owned pediatric practice providing speech, occupational, and physical therapy for children. Donors will receive 2 service hours for each donation made.

Launching a Suncoast Club

Increase Mental Health Awareness and Literacy
Minds Over Matter had the opportunity to lead a workshop at the Minds Out Loud Student Event, focusing on increasing mental health awareness and literacy among young people. Through an engaging presentation and interactive discussion, participants explored what mental health is, why it matters, and how understanding it can help reduce stigma, build empathy, and encourage early support-seeking.
Launching Our First School Chapter
The Break Room at FAU High School marked the beginning of Minds Over Matter's mission to bring student-led mental health support directly into schools. As our first chapter, it was created to provide a safe, welcoming space where students could learn about mental health, develop healthy coping skills, and build meaningful connections with their peers.
