School Clubs

Minds Over Matter is committed to raising awareness about youth mental health through student-led clubs in middle and high schools. Each club meeting begins with a 30-minute presentation, followed by a fun and engaging activity. Discussions focus on practical, healthy habits students can incorporate into their daily lives, including self-care, coping mechanisms, stress management, the importance of sleep, and maintaining a positive mindset. At least once a semester, we introduce students to more complex mental health topics by inviting professionals including therapists, behaviorists, and nutritionists to give presentations. These experts lead Q&A-style discussions on conditions like anxiety, OCD, depression, and other mental health disorders, allowing students to gain deeper insights and ask questions in a supportive environment. Our typical meetings last about an hour, though we remain flexible to accommodate the needs of each group. Minds Over Matter supports participating schools and community centers by providing lesson materials, guest speakers, leadership training, and volunteering opportunities. Through these initiatives, we empower students to develop leadership skills, advocate for mental health awareness, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Currently, this club is implemented at:
